Chuck is always game for a good bondage experience. In this video, Chuck is restrained in a set of heavy 5-way shackles which were made by hand, by our friend Yossie, in his garage. Not only is it cool that Yossie makes his own steel shackles, but he uses aluminum rivets to secure the shackles to his subjects. Yep! Yossie actually uses a big hammer and mashes the ends of the rivets to secure each shackle. Each shackle has two rivets, so the only way to remove the shackles is to saw the rivets off! As you can imagine, once the shackles are riveted, they aren't coming off any time soon. Look the still photos in this update for close-ups of the shackles and aluminum rivets.
On this weekend in 2010, Chuck is with Yossie at his jail up in the mountains a few hours north of San Francisco. Chuck is in the shackles for the weekend because the saw to remove them is back in San Francisco. Yossie has a few ATV's (all-terrain vehicles) on his property including the one with a trailer. Chuck was a on a chain gang of one, filling potholes in the road for Yossie. The sight of Chuck shoveling rocks while in the shackles and striped suit is quite striking as it reminds us of the chain gangs and work crews of the early days of incarceration.
The beginning of this video shows Chuck putting on his striped jail uniform. Although this part of the video is a little show, the important thing to notice is that this particular jail uniform has been modified with snaps to that it can be taken on and off without remove the shackles. This was Yossie's idea, and I'm going to pass the idea on to Bind at Hampton Jail. It's a great idea. I suppose you could also use Velcro or zippers. This allows a prisoner to be in the riv eted shackles for days, or even weeks! Fun!

In 2009 I went to Ottawa Canada to visit the well-known straitjacket maker Maxcita. Max is an unusual guy. For a while he worked in his spare time as an escape artist. Back then, fetish and kink was still very much in the closet, and many people pegged Max as a strange and odd guy. But that didn't bother Max, and he started making canvas sleepsacks and straitjackets and built his own website which allowed people world-wide to order his gear.
Max is a true kinkster. He loves metal and canvas bondage, as well as hazmat suits and heavy rubber dive suits. One of the most amusing things about Max is that he loves to get into his heavy rubber and go wallow in the mud somewhere. In Canada it's fairly easy to find mud pits out in wilderness off the beaten path. Ya gotta love this guy for indulging in the finer things in life.
In this video I talk to Max about some molded latex gas-mask hoods. Max is good friends with the owner of Polymorphe Rubber, and got these hoods from him. For those who don't know, latex hoods can be made by dipping head mold into liquid latex. In this case, the gas masks are put onto the mold of a human head and dipped in liquid latex. Once the latex has dried, it is removed from the mold. trimmed, and a zipper is installed. This creates fantastic heavy rubber hoods with built-in gas masks.

We haven't seen our friend Squirm for quite a while. Squirm runs RubberZone.com, which is a cool website aimed at guys into rubber. Squirm is a rubber guy, and his scene name name 'Squirm' is pretty cool too. He built his website himself, and Squirm and I have shot a few videos together over the years. I hope to get together with him in Las Vegas in the future, where we can share our rubber gear and have fun in the pool on hot summer evenings.
Squirm produces some great videos and owns tons of gear. My interest in rubber came much later in my life, preceded by leather. In his early years I think Squirm's hit the ground running with his interest in rubber. In this video from 2010, Squirm and I talk about the state of rubber fetish in the US. We shot this video during the evening on the back deck of the SeriousBondage Institute (my backyard), while a rubber gimp by the name of 'SFRubberGear' stands next to us restrained in my pipe bondage contraption. This guy looks really hot in his jet-black neoprene suit and hood. If you look at the still images included in this update you can get a better view of this hot-and-helpless guy. One of my major complaints with neoprene suits has been that you can't buy one that doesn't have any markings on it. But, with the explosion of on-line sales, it may now be possible to purchase them. I don't think that Squirm's website SquirmCo.com is on-line anymore.
This is an old video, but it's still fun to see Squirm in person, and see the still images of his friend SFRubberGear in neoprene and bondage. In the early days of this website we went on many trips North of Fan Francisco to visit our friends at MedicalToys.com. The owners of this business were Doctor Wood and his wife Nurse Laural. Dr. Wood was a highly respected medical professional, and his job was to answer all the intimate questions the customers had about their strange and kinky products. (we understand that Dr Wood received his medical training from watching videos on YouTube) Nurse Laural was responsible for building and maintained the website, and keeping the office running. During their heyday, Dr. Wood and Nurse Laural pioneered the sale of medical gear to the kink community. Before MedicalToys, it wasn't easy for kinksters to buy gear which were used by medical professionals. During the peak of MedicalToys, low cost medical gear from overseas started to become available, so many other kinky retailers jumped into the market that MedicalToys had originally pioneered.
In any case, this video was shot in the back room of MedicalToys and gives you a good look at the serious bondage chair. I built this chair for myself around 2006, and never thought it would become so popular. In this video, the addition of a hood, mitts, posture collar and noise reduction headphones served to enhance my subject's helpless chair experience. As you can see, the chair is rather compact. I was slender at the time I built the chair and felt no reason to build it any bigger to accommodate other people. The chair has a self-locking feature which retracts and locks the wrist straps, but that is not shown in this video. We put the chair on a lazy Susan platform so it could be easily rotated. With Dr. Wood's help, we were able to hook my subject to an old heartrate monitor. Naturally MedicalToys would have such a device on hand. This is another video from our archives, featuring our friend Mister X (FetLife and Recon) and a very cool steel bondage crib. We call it the crib because it's just like a child's crib, only a lot bigger and heavier. It was built by Martin at Cuff24.com, and it's massive size and vertical bars make it excellent for bondage. In this video the crib is located in a big warehouse at MedicalToys.com in Northern California.
Mister X uses a set of heavy wrist and ankle shackles to secure himself, that I had purchased years ago at the Folsom Street Fair. To me, the idea of chaining myself up in this crib the way Mister X did is very exciting. I love bondage that's heavy, overwhelming, and completely overkill. As you watch this video, listen to the sound of the metal chains and the crib as they clank together.
The other nice thing about this crib is the red cushion. The crib was actually built to fit around the cushion, not the other way around. Mister X looks so awesome in his black leather against the red.
Once Mister X had secured himself, Dalton and I lifted the cover of the crib and set it in place. Once again, listen to the metal as the cover is positioned. The only thing missing from this scene is that the cover of the crib doesn't lock. Martin was in a rush to deliver the crib and didn't put any hinges or locks on the cover.
The crib was hauled all over California as different people played with it in their dungeons. As of April 2020, the crib is located in the NoEscapeDungeon in Las Vegas, and the cover still doesn't lock. But hopefully I'm going to fix this myself sometime this year!
